I like the lines on the building…. the dentals and bricks, shingles and eaves…. but most of all I like the reflections in the glass of the lamp and the windows.
I’ve never seen a gas lit lamppost on someone’s lawn, so I had to take a picture, but I almost didn’t post it. Thought it might be boring…shows how much I know π
Oh wow! I did’t realize it was in front of a house! I pictured You walking down a romantic street somewhere. That IS a rare sight. I wonder if they have a costumed, ceremonial lamplighter come around each evening to light it! Seems only fitting….You’d have to!!! π

Yes. It works well with the style of the house it fronts, but a gas lit lamp is a rare sight in this neighborhood π
